Welcome

Our Mission:

Guilford County PAGE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting our community’s brightest young minds with strong advocacy for the advancement of gifted education.  We provide the tools to engage and empower all those involved with gifted children, thereby building tomorrow’s leaders today.

PAGE stands for Partners for the Advancement of Gifted Education.  We are an affiliate of the North Carolina Association for Gifted & Talented (NCAGT).

President’s Welcome

Welcome to the Guilford County Partners for the Advancement of Gifted Education (PAGE) chapter.  We are the largest PAGE chapter in NC and we represent over 14,000 academically gifted (AG) students.  One of our goals is to continue growing our membership each year, so I hope you will consider joining our passionate group of parents and educators who have a vested interest in an engaging future for all our AG children.

These past four years, under the  direction of Holly Stewart as president,  Guilford County PAGE reformed so parents, teachers and administrators could partner together to share knowledge and resources, and compare and improve our experiences with and for gifted kids.  We have held many family friendly programs, hosted speakers, advocated for services and curriculum changes for our gifted learners, and spearheaded teacher appreciation for those who have made a positive difference for our students.

With changes in the top level positions at Guilford County Schools and budget cuts that have already decreased the central office AG staff,  Guilford County PAGE will focus this year on partnering at all levels and across all educational opportunities.  PAGE is a resource for you to learn about your child’s unique abilities and characteristics and how to partner with teachers and administrators to advocate for your child.

We will strive to keep you abreast of important dates and events that concern the wellbeing of your gifted child and their school.  We will host programs that allow you to learn about giftedness and how best to advocate for your student.  We will plan some fun, engaging events to enrich their minds and to celebrate their lives.

I invite you to partner with Guilford County PAGE and become a member.

Best Regards,

Katherine Humphreys
