Free Webinar on Sparking Creativity Among Gifted Students
Guilford County PAGE sponsors webinar featuring creativity expert and author Kathryn Haydon
GREENSBORO, N.C., October 6, 2016 – Guilford County PAGE (Partners for the Advancement of Gifted Education) is offering two free webinars for parents, educators and others interested in creativity in education.
Presented by Kathryn Haydon, one of the nation’s leading creativity experts, the live one-hour webinars explore the importance of sparking creativity among high ability kindergarten through high school students.
The webinar will be available on November 3, 12-1 p.m. (EST) and November 6, 2-3 p.m. (EST), and registrants can choose the date that works for them. Online registration is free and open to the public, and available from October 6 to November 1. Space is limited, so early registration is advised.
“In the age of standardized testing, creativity matters more than ever, especially to our children’s future success,” said Holly Stewart, President of Guilford County PAGE. “Webinar participants will learn about the relationship between creativity and intelligence and how to identify and tap into a child’s creative strengths.”

Webinar presenter Kathryn Haydon, founder of Sparkitivity and co-author of Creativity for Everybody (2015), consults with families, schools and organizations nationwide to support an educational paradigm based on student strengths and creative thinking. She holds a master of science in creativity and change leadership from the International Center for Studies in Creativity at State University of New York and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
