GUILFORD COUNTY PAGE SPONSORS FREE WEBINAR ON SELECTIVE COLLEGE PLANNING FOR THE GIFTED
GREENSBORO – Guilford County PAGE (Partners for the Advancement of Gifted Education) is sponsoring two free webinar opportunities to help parents of college-bound students learn about what they need get into selective colleges and universities.
The one-hour webinars will be available for viewing on September 18, 12-1 p.m. and September 21, 2-3 p.m. Registration is free and open to the public by visiting http://guilfordcountypage.org/webinar. They will address today’s critical college planning issues such as:
- Increasing importance of the high school resume
- Advanced classes (AP, IB, Honors)
- PSAT, SAT, ACT, and SAT subject tests
- College application essay
- Letters of recommendation
- Preparing for college interviews
Webinar presenter Susan Goodkin from the California Learning Strategies Center is a graduate of Harvard University, Harvard Law School, and Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar. Goodkin’s student clients have been accepted to Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT, Brown, Duke, Columbia, and many others.
